I am so tired! Here's to all the artists who have to work at what they don't really want to in order to make a living. I try to make time to get to my studio every day except Sunday. This really helps. It keeps my sanity. I do find that I have to spend a lot of time doing what I call clerical work for my art carreer and also just running the household. Yes, it has fallen to me to run the household for Jeff , his mom, and me. I really hate it and really dread it! So I put off stuff. Even though it seems to me that I do put things off a lot, I have noticed that others put off stuff even more and that I am actually pretty good about keeping up. I can't wait until I can quit work whenever that will be. I will feel like I'm in heaven! It is true that work pretty much rules your life for like 50 years!! You have to plan everything around it and if the boss changes something about when and how much you work, you pretty much have to accomodate. It is a major inconvenience!

My new website is up and running! Actually, I have quite a lot more to do on it to make it finished, but when it is, I promise I will keep it up to date - I hope...
Here's a weird thing. Yesterday Jeff and I took a bike ride together along the Santa Cruz and stopped to look at the Garden of Gethsemane. It is in the process of being restored. As we were looking at the statues, we noticed that the hands and feet that had been restored were replaced completely with life-cast hands and feet. These contrast strangely with the rather stylized faces. I expressed disappointment that the original artist, Lucero was not being at least emulated, but Jeff suggested that the original art has been long gone and this is just one more manifestation.
